Mike is responsible for the oversight and administrative management of the Mohave County Economic Development, Development Services, and Public Works team encompassing 310 positions, with annual special revenues of over $35 million and total expenditure budgets exceeding $80 million. Mike brings over 25 years of upper level professional management, administration and budgeting experience, and over 30 years of professional experience in engineering, with expertise in contract administration and management. Mike has held the positions of Managing Engineer, Civil Engineer, Assistant County Engineer, County Engineer, Assistant Public Works Director, Public Works Director, Superintendent of Streets, Flood Plain Administrator and Flood Plain Manager. Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona College of Engineering; Professional Registration in the State of Utah as a Civil Engineer in 1987, and; Professional Registration in the State of Arizona as a Civil Engineer in 1987. Mike and his wife Cherie enjoy hunting, fishing and training their Bird Dogs.
Travis oversees all programs and services provided by the Mohave County Economic Development Department with an overarching goal of promoting regionalism in all economic development activities in Northwest Arizona. Travis has served in multiple high-level capacities including Project Manager, County Procurement Director, and County Economic Development Director. He holds a masters degree in public administration from Norwich University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Northern Arizona University. He also serves the Mohave region in several additional capacities including serving as a member of the Mohave Community College District Governing Board and as an Advisory Board member for the University of Arizona’s Cooperative Extension. Travis’ professional memberships include the International City/County Managers Association, Arizona Association for Economic Development, and the Arizona School Boards Association.
Bennett provides comprehensive site-selection assistance to companies looking to relocate or expand within Mohave County, specifically in the manufacturing, energy, distribution, logistics, and healthcare service industries. Prior to joining MCEDD in 2009, Bennett spent nearly 13 years managing a residential and commercial real estate and development business in Southern California’s Inland Empire. He holds his Real Estate Brokers License in both Arizona and California and has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University – San Bernardino. Bennett’s professional memberships include National Association of Realtors and Arizona Association for Economic Development. When he’s not busy locating new businesses with the Mohave region, he enjoys taking full advantage of the area’s unlimited outdoor recreational offerings with his wife and four children.
Pat performs administrative functions for the Economic Development Department under the direction of the Economic Development Director. When Pat is not assisting the Economic Development Department, she fulfils her responsibilities as the Administrative Supervisor for the Development Services & Public Works Departments under the direction of the Deputy County Manager.
