The Mohave County Economic Development Department
(MCEDD) provides an integrated approach of
programs and services to support local business
start-up and expansion, as well as the attraction
of companies and industries that offer high
value jobs and share the County's values.
Our long-term goals are
to increase employment opportunities, population
and tax base, to strategically position communities
and businesses to better compete in the global
economy and to facilitate the creation of
high-paying jobs for our workforce.
To accomplish these goals,
we work to attract, expand and retain primary-sector
businesses by:
-
Providing statistical
data to business decision-makers and site
selectors.
-
Initiating
and facilitating business infrastructure
improvements.
-
Building partnerships
with city, county, state and federal agencies
and elected officials to develop programs
and opportunities for employers.
-
Actively pursuing
target industries.
-
Administering
the following programs: Business Development
Loan Program, Building Bridges to Business
(B3), Mohave Prospector, Economic Development
Information Center (EDIC).
-
Marketing Mohave
County as a prime location for expanding
or relocating businesses.
-
Facilitating
access to, and assisting with applications
for, financial incentive and employee training
programs for new and existing businesses.
-
Enhancing strategic
partnerships through the development of
the North River Economic Region, an economic
development organization of Mohave and La
Paz Counties.
We
have a magnificent product to sell.
Mohave County benefits from its close proximity
to major markets, a low-cost, business-friendly
environment and exceptional transportation
infrastructure.
